Summary

Full Refurbishment of Transit Lounge and Ground Floor of Block A The terminal upgrade brief was to rejuvenate the transit lounge and block A departure gate areas.

This involved demolishing the original toilet block beside the Sheridan Bar and reconstructing new, more efficient units which Incorporated a new baby change room and accessible toilet unit all rooms were fitted with energy efficient Light fittings and a new heat recovery and AC system. The Old transit lounge floor was removed and replaced with a new structural screed and new floor tiles, within the main floor a new food court area/retail area was created, this entailed new timber flooring and both custom made seating areas and loose furniture, this was to facilitate customers to the new restaurant unit.

Lighting to the transit lounge floor was up graded across the floor, this meant the old ceiling was removed and all concrete slabs and services were painted black.

The main feature of the lounge area is the bespoke Architectural glazing system is fitted to most of the walls on the floor.

Block A, had all the old external glazing removed and was refitted with floor to ceiling curtain walling system which incorporated Gates one to five, all floors were tiles, new energy efficient lights fitted through out. The Architectural Glazing system was also fitted to all walls on the floor. The old toilet block was demolished and a new unit build in its place, to incorporate a separate accessible toilet and sluice room.
